… Mandates CTC Chairmen of impacted LGAs who are yet to constitute committees to address the challenges, to do so immediately
The Rivers State Committee on Flood Management and Prevention headed by the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Prof. Mrs. Ngozi Nma Odu, held an enlarged meeting on Friday in Port Harcourt, with Caretaker Chairmen of the 18 impacted LGAs.
The Committee has therefore mandated CTC Chairmen who are yet to constitute committees to address challenges arising from the impending flood to do so immediately.
All the CTC Chairmen were further directed to furnish the State Steering Committee with details of duly constituted flood prevention and management committees of their respective LGAs, not later than Monday, September 30.

Meanwhile, the State Flood Prevention and Management Committee shall visit flash points of some of the affected LGAs next week to identify red flag areas for necessary action.
