The Concerned Citizens of Akuku-Toru LGA of Rivers State, loyal to the former Governor of Rivers State Chief (Barr) Nyesom Wike embarked on a peaceful protest today, October 7, 2024, at the AKULGA Council premises. Their demonstration was in response to the alleged illegal conduct of Local Government Elections and the subsequent swearing-in of the purported winners.
Emphasizing that Nigeria is a country governed by law, the protesters called for the law to take its course, ensuring that due legal processes are followed in the electoral process. They underscored that the law must be respected, and justice served.
