RWUS Inaugurates Market Women, Islamic Sisters, and Non-Indigenes Wing in Prayerful Thanksgiving Ceremony

Rivers Women Unite for SIM (RWUS) hosted a remarkable ceremony to officially inaugurate the Market Women, Islamic Sisters, and Non-Indigenes Wing. The event featured heartfelt prayers, praise, and thanksgiving, bringing together women from various markets, Islamic groups, and non-indigenous communities across Rivers State.

During her opening remarks, Chief Sotonye Toby Fulton, Convener of RWUS, represented by Barr. Adata Bio-Briggs underscored the crucial role of Market Women in sustaining the state’s economy. She emphasized how their daily contributions impact the lives of Rivers residents, making it essential to include them in RWUS’s mission of promoting the state’s progress.

The gathering was not only an inauguration but also a powerful thanksgiving session, where attendees collectively prayed for divine guidance over the leadership of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and for the prosperity of Rivers State and Nigeria. The women, many of whom are prominent community leaders, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting RWUS’s objectives, particularly in fostering socio-economic growth.

Newly inaugurated members expressed their aspirations for improving the livelihoods of women across the state. They shared their vision for strengthening the business environment and providing more opportunities for their peers, showcasing their dedication to uplifting their communities.

This inauguration represents a significant milestone for RWUS as it broadens its outreach by formally integrating the Market Women, Islamic Sisters, and Non-Indigenes Wing. With these new additions, RWUS is now better positioned to further its mission of fostering unity, peace, and prosperity for all Rivers State residents and the nation.
