Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has called on traditional rulers to refrain from using their positions to manipulate their subjects. Speaking at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, during the presentation of certificates of recognition and staff of office to two first-class monarchs, Governor Fubara encouraged them to view their recognition as a duty to support good governance and prioritize the welfare of their communities. The two newly recognized traditional leaders are Marcus Woyike, Nye Nwe-Ali of Elele Okinali/Elele Alimini in Ikwerre Local Government Area, and Ndamzi Nsirim, Nye Nwe-Eli of Rumueme Kingdom in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
